Tamika Dudley again named NEC Rookie of the Week



For the second time this season, LIU freshman Tamika Dudley has been selected Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week for the week ending January 30. In two games, the 5'9" freshman from Woodbridge, VA, averaged 16.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists in leading LIU to a 1-1 week.

For the season, she is averaging 10.8 points (second on team), 6.9 boards (second on the team) and 3.0 assists (second on team) per contest. Dudley converted a school-record 15 free throws in LIU's 60-47 win at Wagner on Jan. 29.

Dudley gained her first NEC honor for the week ending Jan. 3. She is battling teammate Kim Mac Millan for Rookie-of-the-Year honors. Mac Millan has already earned four weekly awards.
