Male Athlete of the Month...Antawn Dobie

For the second time this year, Antawn Dobie has been chosen Male Athlete-of-the Month, this time for the month of February...Dobie helped the Blackbirds to a record of 4-5 during the month by averaging 14.9 points, 4.3 assists and 2.6 steals... He was twice named Northeast Conference Rookie-of-the-Week during the month and scored in double figures in eight of his nine contests... One of his best performances of the month may have been his final game of the regular season... Playing against NEC MVP favorite Gene Nabors, Dobie shot 6-of-9 from the field en route to a 19-point, five assist and career-high seven steal game... Dobie shot at least 50 percent in seven of those nine contests and handed out five assists or more five time in that stretch... Dobie finished the season leading the team in scoring (13.4 ppg), assists (4.3 apg) and steals (2.2 spg)
