LIU senior Juan Diego Chiavarini and junior Ignacio Pena were both named First Team All-Northeast Conference in a vote by league coaches.

It marks the second year in a row that Chiavarini has been selected, but the first time he was named to the first team. A senior defender from Santa Fe, Argentina, Chiavarini recorded two goals and two assists this season and finished his career with five goals and 11 assists.

Pena, a junior, tallied three goals in the final four games of the 2000 season to finish with a team-best five goals. A natural midfielder who was moved to the fron this season, Pena has now registered 13 goals and eight assists thus far in his career. A native of Madrid, he still has one year of eligibility remaining.
