Hopes to regain the form from two years
ago that made her a member of the Northeast Conference All-Rookie
team... Is in a battle to win the role as starting center and
also could see playing time at power forward this season... An
impact player who has worked on her versatility in the paint and
also possesses a deadly 3-point shot when left open... Has been
hampered by an injury each of the last two seasons and hopes she
can play consistently well for an entire campaign... Is fundamentally
sound and has excellent post moves... Graduated from the same
high school as LIU coach Stephanie Gaitley.
As
a Sophomore in 2001-02: Finished fourth for the Blackbirds with 6.5 points and
4.7 rebounds per game... Was fourth in the NEC with 0.7 blocks
per contest (16)... Averaged 9.0 points and 7.5 rebounds in the
first two rounds of the NEC Tournament to help LIU reach the final
for a second straight season... Closed with nine points on 4-of-6
shooting and a season-high eight rebounds in the NEC semifinal
vs. Sacred Heart (3/3)... Had nine points and seven rebounds in
the quarterfinal vs. Fairleigh Dickinson (3/2)... Finished with
a season-high 13 points on 6-of-11 shooting and grabbed six rebounds
vs. Virginia (12/28)... Missed seven games with a sprained right
ankle (1/5 - 1/24).
As
a Freshman in 2000-01: Named to the NEC All-Rookie Team and was the leagues
Rookie of the Week twice (1/8, 1/29)... Was ninth in the NEC in
field goal percentage (.486), 12th in blocked shots (18) and 26th
in scoring (9.8 ppg)... Posted the fifth best single-season 3-point
percentage in school history (.358)... Started 23 games, including
the last 17... Averaged 12.0 points and 8.7 rebounds during the
NEC Tournament... Posted her first double-double with a career-high
16 rebounds -- matching the school NEC Tournament record -- and
14 points in the conference final against Mount St. Marys
(3/5)... Scored 15 points on 6-of-10 shooting and grabbed seven
rebounds in 34 minutes of NEC semifinal against Quinnipiac (3/4)...
Closed with 17 points on 7-of-13 shooting, five rebounds and four
assists in 30 minutes against St. Francis (PA) (2/17)... Made
January a month to remember, averaging 13.0 points and scoring
in double figures six times to help the Blackbirds go 5-4... Netted
18 points in consecutive games vs. Quinnipiac (1/20) and UMBC
(1/25)... Poured in 17 points on 8-of-15 shooting against Monmouth
(1/11)... Scored in double figures 11 times.

School: A four-year letterwinner at
Ocean City HS... A first team All-Cape Atlantic League selection
as a junior and senior... Team captain who averaged 15.0 points
and 10.0 rebounds as a senior in leading her squad to a 13-12
mark... Named first team All-South Jersey by the Atlantic City
Press in 1999-2000... Named to the Ocean City High School
All-Decade Team... Surpassed the 1,000 career-point plateau as
a senior... Tallied a career-best 26 points vs. St. James HS as
a junior.
