-- Senior Chris Brescia (Nanuet, N.Y.) lined an
RBI single, but it was not enough for Long Island in a 7-1

to pull within 2-1. Freshman Bryan Burke (Lindenhurst, N.Y.)
laced a leadoff single through the left side and raced to third
on a single up the middle by sophomore Robert Rowen (Rosendale,

Burke.
The Wildcats (25-16-2) scored a run in the fifth
on Derek Shunk’s
sacrifice fly and added four in the eighth for the final margin.
Kelly Pickel had an RBI single in eighth and Darren Griffith
followed with a two-run triple.
