Baseball Squad Appears on Good Day New York

2/16/05 -- Long Island University's baseball team made an appearance this morning on Fox Five's Good Day New York in anticipation of the start of the 2005 season.

Head coach Frank Giannone along with his assistants and several players were on hand at LIU Field during live shots with reporter Penny Crone. Among the many activities included Crone taking batting practice as well as participating in a rundown with the team in the background.

LIU begins the 2005 campaign Saturday, March 5 at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and the home opener is Tuesday, March 22 against the University of Rhode Island at 3:00 pm.
