Men's Golf Competes in the Bucknell Invitational

9/18/05 -- The Long Island men’s golf team competed in the Bucknell Invitational this weekend. Junior Patrick Kelly (Brisbane, Australia) was the top performer for the Blackbirds, tying for 27th. The team finished 14th out of 18 schools.

Kelly, a transfer from Jackson State and competing in his first match for Long Island, shot 75-74-75 (+14) in the three-round event. Freshman Greg Nicolson (Edinburgh, Scotland) (+20) was the next best finisher for the Blackbirds, tying for 46th.

LIU continues its season on Monday, Sept. 19th in the Towson Fall Invitational. The two-day tournament will take place at Great Hope GC in Westover, Md.
