Nicolson was at three-over-par 143 after Friday's action, but windy conditions on Saturday at the Bethpage Red Course in Farmingdale, N.Y. were too much for the newcomer to overcome. Patrick Kelly (Brisbane, Australia) also cracked the top-50 with rounds of 77-74-72 for a total of 223. LIU will be in action October 2-3 at the Leo Keenan Invitational in Olean, N.Y.

Freshman Greg Nicolson (Edinburgh, Scotland) was low finisher for Long Island,
tying for 44th place at 222 as the Blackbirds competed at
the McLaughlin, hosted by St. John's University, this weekend.
