Women's Golf Opens Season at Princeton Invitational

9/26/05 -- The LIU women’s golf team teed off for the first time this season at the Princeton Women’s Invitational in Princeton, N.J. Freshmen Rochelle Brown and Emma Lister were the top finishers for the Blackbirds.

The Northeast Conference defending champions were the top finishing team from the conference, as they topped Wagner and Sacred Heart in the two-day event.

Brown and Lister both shot 87-87 to finish in a tie for 62nd. Freshman Natalie Desjardins shot the low round of the tournament for LIU with an 85 on the second day.

Long Island continues its fall season as they travel to New Kent, Va. to take part in the Tribe Classic, hosted by The College of William and Mary on Oct. 8-9.
