Men's Golf Travels to Towson Invitational

9/20/05 -- Patrick Kelly (Brisbane, Austrailia) was Long Island's top finisher for the second consecutive tournament, carding rounds of 72-77 to finish tied for 26th at the Towson Fall Invitational in Myersville, Md.

Kelly's even-par 72, a season-best round, put him in a tie for seventh place after day one.

The second day proved to be a bit more difficult, as Musket Ridge Golf Club showed its teeth and caused some problems for the junior transfer from Jackson State. His second-day 77 was his high-mark on the year.

Greg Nicolson (Edinburgh, Scotland) had the Blackbirds best round on Tuesday with a two-over-par 74.

The LIU men continue their season this weekend in The McLaughlin, hosted by St. John's University. The two-day event is scheduled to begin on Friday, Sept. 23rd at the Bethpage Red Course in Farmingdale, N.Y.
