Desjardins Records Fourth Top-15 Finish at Virginia Beach Invitational

11/8/05 -- Long Island University freshman Natalie Desjardins (Haileybury, Ontario) recorded rounds of 78 and 79 to finish in a tie for 13th at the TPC Virginia Beach Women's Invitational in Virginia Beach, Va.

As a team, the Blackbirds placed sixth with a two-day total of 684. Winthrop University's Erin White led her squad to a team championship and won medalist honors with back-to-back 73s.

Freshman Rochelle Brown (Calgary, Alberta) ended at 165, good for a tie for 27th. Classmate Emma Lister (Manchester, England) finished in 34th place at 174.

Previously, Desjardins finished in a tie for 11th at the Tribe Classic in New Kent, Va. on Oct. 9. The frosh then recorded a runner-up finish at the ECAC Championships on Oct. 22-23, and tied for eighth at the inaugural Sacred Heart Invitational last weekend.

The Blackbirds have finished their fall season.
