--Long Island University women’s golf standout
Natalie Desjardins recently finished tied for 51st at the
CN Canadian Women’s Tour event at the Ottawa Hunt & Golf
Club on July 16-18.
Competing as an amateur and playing
amongst touring professionals, former LPGA players and collegiate
All-Americans, the sophomore shot rounds of 85 and 79 to finish
at 164 on the 6,164-yard, par-72 course in Ottawa, Ontario.
Former Stanford University standout
and Burlington, Ontario native Salimah Mussani shot back-to-back
rounds of 66 to take home the championship.
Desjardins is one of six returning
members of the LIU women’s golf team looking to return
to the top of the Northeast Conference this season. The squad
finished second in the NEC Championships last season by two
strokes following a school-record 319 in the second round.
