Kelly Leads After First Day of NBT Bank Collegiate Classic

10/14/06 – Senior Patrick Kelly (Brisbane, Australia) posted a two-under-par 68 to lead by one stroke after the first day of the NBT Bank Collegiate Classic, hosted by Binghamton University, on Saturday afternoon.

Kelly shot a blistering 32 on the front nine and continued his stellar play with a back-nine score of 36 for a one shot lead over Ryan Swanson of St. Bonaventure.

As a team, the Blackbirds are in a tie for seventh at 309, with the host school Binghamton leading the pack at 295.

Sophomore Kyle Margentina was the next best Blackbird scorer, shooting a fall-best 79 to close in a tie for 39th.

The final round of the NBT Bank Classic will take place on Sunday, Oct. 15.
