Senior Patrick Kelly (Brisbane, Australia) carded his second
consecutive round of even-par 72 to finish in a tie for eighth
at the Towson Fall Invitational at Musket Ridge Golf Course
in Myersville, Md. on Monday afternoon.
As a team, the Blackbirds
fell back after a blistering 292 on the first day to finish
alone in ninth place at 600. Boston College won the team championship
by nine strokes over Saint Joseph's with a two-day total of
577.
Sophomore Rob Gallagher
(Morganton, N.C.) was LIU's next best finisher, posting scores
of 73 and 76 to finish in a tie for 19th.
Jeff Castle of the
host Tigers shot a final-round 69 to edge BC's Jan Prokop by
one stroke to earn medalist honors.
Long Island will
continue its season this weekend as they travel to Olean, N.Y.
to compete in the Leo Keenan Invitational, hosted by St. Bonaventure.
