Men's Golf Competes at Towson Invitational

 

4/1/07– The Long Island University men's golf team competed at the Towson
Invitational over the weekend and finished with a two-day score of 628,
eight strokes ahead of Rutgers, to finish in 20th place.

Sophomore Rob Gallagher (Morganton, N.C.) was the low finisher for the
Blackbirds, finishing in a tie for 41st place at 153. Senior Patrick
Kelly (Brisbane, Australia) closed one stroke behind Gallagher and
finished in a tie for 49th.

St. John's University won the overall team championship by 12 strokes
over Longwood while the Red Storm's Keegan Bradley earned medalist
honors by posting a two-under par total of 142, one stroke ahead of
four golfers.

LIU continues its season at the Lafayette Invitational on April 13-15.
