Brad Corcoran Finishes Second at Cape May Invitational

 

4/16-17/05 -- Senior Brad Corcoran (Mississauga, Ontario) tied a season best with a final-round 72 for Long Island and closed tied for second with 150 at the Cape May Invitational in Cape May, N.J.

Corcoran on Sunday played the last nine holes in 35 and his final-round total matches that from the second round at The McLaughlin in September. The All-Northeast Conference honoree from last season is averaging 76.9 strokes over his last eight rounds.

Ryan Heller (New Hartford, Conn.) shot 77 on Sunday to finish tied for 17th with 161 and fellow senior Kevin Allo (San Bernardino, Calif.) closed tied for 21st with 162.

That helped the Blackbirds shoot 312 for the day's second-best round and finish third with 635. Niagara won the crown by carding 619.

This was LIU's final tournament before it looks to defend its NEC title. The conference championship takes place May 2-3 at the QuickSilver Golf Club in Midway, Pa.
