Women's Golf competes at Monmouth Tri-Match

10/21/04 -- Long Island finished a close third at the Monmouth Tri-Match, competed at Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Lakewood, N.J.

Shauna Wilde (Mississauga, Ontario) and fellow senior Veronica Lopes (Mississauga, Ontario) each carded 79 to pace the Blackbirds, who closed with 336. Monmouth won with 333 and Wagner shot 335 in a battle among Northeast Conference schools.

Amy Kitchen (Staten Island, N.Y.) fired 86 and fellow senior Tracey Chew (Sacramento, Calif.) added 92.

LIU closes its fall season at the Virginia Beach Intercollegiate, which takes place November 7-8.
