Women's Golf Completes Second Round at NCAA's

5/6/05 -- Senior Shauna Wilde (Mississauga, Ontario) carded 83 and sophomore Erica Chong (Hilo, Hawaii) shot 84 for Long Island at the second round of the NCAA Championship's Central Regional in Lubbock, Texas.

After going out in 42, Wilde came in with 41 on the back nine that included six pars.

Chong bounced back from shooting 97 on Thursday with a strong round Friday, sparked by three birdies. She carded 41 on the back nine with two birdies.

Veronica Lopes (Mississauga, Ontario) shot 85, fellow senior Tracey Chew (Sacramento, Calif.) fired 91 and senior Amy Kitchen (Staten Island, N.Y.) carded 94.

The Blackbirds will compete in the third and final round at the Rawls Course on Saturday.
