Women's Golf opens season at Princeton Invitational

9/25-26/04 -- Senior Veronica Lopes (Mississauga, Ontario) fired an opening-round 80 for shorthanded Long Island at the Princeton Invitational in Princeton, N.J.

Lopes closed the tournament carding 89 on Sunday and was tied for 29th with 169. The Blackbirds only had three players compete in the tournament.

LIU returns to action October 8-9 at the Central Connecticut State Invitational in New Britain, Conn.
