12/14/05 -- Senior Aubin Scott (Hempstead, N.Y.) grabbed a career-high 16 rebounds to go along with 13 points but it was not enough as the Long Island University men's basketball team saw its two-game winning streak snapped at Harvard, 91-79, on Wednesday evening.

Junior James Williams (DeSoto, Texas) led the team with 18 points.

Two free throws by sophomore Paska Morkeliunas (Kaunas, Lithuania) gave the Blackbirds a 51-48 advantage with 14:06 to play in the second stanza. The Crimson rattled off 12 consecutive points, capped by a three-point play by Brad Unger that gave Harvard a 60-51 lead.

LIU twice cut the advantage to six in the final minutes but could not get any closer.

The Blackbirds will face former city rival CCNY on Thursday, Dec. 22 at home at 7:00 p.m.
