ASSISTANT COACH
JACK PERRI

Jack Perri, a seasoned head coach at the Division III level, enters his second season on Coach Ferry's staff.

Perri served as the head men’s basketball coach at Rhode Island College (Division III) in 2004-05, leading the team to a berth in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Tournament. He guided the Anchormen to a 20-9 record, the program’s first-ever Little East Conference co-regular season championship and was named the league’s coach-of-the-year in his first season.

The Manalapan, N.J. native spent six seasons on the sidelines at Division II Bentley College (1998-2004). As the top assistant, he was responsible for all aspects of recruiting for a squad ranked number one in the country in 2004-05.

A 1998 graduate of Bentley, Perri played in 99 games for the Falcons. He served as captain for two seasons. Perri was recruited by and subsequently replaced long-time Bentley assistant and current LIU coach Ferry on the Falcons bench.

He and his wife Julie have a seven-month old son, Sean Patrick.

ASSISTANT COACH
LENNY PITT

Lenny Pitt begins his third full season on the LIU sidelines. The Floral Park, N.Y. native, however, is no stranger to Jim Ferry thanks to ties to Adelphi University.

Pitt served the previous three seasons as an assistant coach at SUNY-Old Westbury under Bernard Tomlin.

While at Old Westbury, Pitt helped to lead the Panthers to great success. In 2003-04, the program won three-in-a-row en route to clinching the Skyline Conference title and a trip to the NCAA Division III tournament.

The previous season, Old Westbury earned the fourth seed in the league tournament and received an ECAC NY/NJ Metro Region post season tournament bid. While at Old Westbury, Pitt also coached men’s and women’s cross country.

An advocate of the half-court man-to-man defense, Pitt was an assistant coach at Martin Van Buren High School in Queens Village, N.Y. from 1996-2001. From 1998-2001, he coached the AAU squad the Running Rebels.
Pitt played for Adelphi University from 1991-1993.

He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Economics (1993), as well as a master’s in Sports Management (1996). While working on his master's, Pitt interned with the New York Knicks in their marketing and promotion department. Pitt has also worked in the business industry as account representative for IKON Office Solutions.

He is single and resides in Long Island.

ASSISTANT COACH
RICH GLESMANN

Rich Glesmann joined the staff last season as Director of Basketball Operations. He begins his first full season as assistant coach in 2006-07.

Glesmann worked the previous two seasons at Adelphi University. Last season, the Panthers posted a 22-7 ledger and led Division II in scoring defense (55.5 ppg) and field goal percentage defense (.376).

Prior to Adelphi, Glesmann was the head women’s basketball coach at Wheelock College in Boston. The second youngest head coach in the country at the time (2002), Glesmann’s team improved their win total from the year before by five games.

A native of Wayland, Mass., Glesmann attended Salisbury State before transferring to Emerson College in Massachusetts where he graduated in 2001. A three-year starter at guard, he guided the Lions to a record setting 21-9 mark his senior season as a captain and a trip to the ECAC Championships. He shot 53 percent from the floor his senior campaign, averaging 11.5 points and 5.3 rebounds a contest.

DIRECTOR OF BASKETBALL OPERATIONS
CHUCK BRIDGE

Chuck Bridge commences his first season on the LIU men’s basketball staff as the Director of Basketball Operations.

He worked last year at Rutgers-Newark as an assistant coach, where he helped lead the Scarlet Knights to an 18-10 record, including a 10-8 mark in the New Jersey Athletic Conference.

After playing one season at Springfield College in Springfield, Mass., Bridge was forced into the coaching ranks due to an ankle injury. In 2002, he began a three-year stint as coach of Wilbraham and Monson Academy. Bridge played high school basketball at the Wilbraham, Mass. school for three seasons.

A native of Somers, Conn., Bridge graduated with a bachelors degree in psychology from Springfield in 2005.
