Josh Regina tipped a pass to Clemente who blasted the ball past freshman goalkeeper Alex Fatovic (Falls Church, Va.) for the winning score. Lehigh held a 9-8 shot advantage, including a 5-2 edge in the first stanza. The Mountain Hawks controlled the ball for most of the game with seven different players accounting for at least one shot. LIU was paced by senior defender Jonas Stigh (Trollhattan, Sweden) and junior forward Mustapha Ayoub (Toronto, Canada) who each registered two. Fatovic earned his fourth start of the season, making two saves. Charlie Sales and Sam Bishop combined for the shutout for the Mountain Hawks. The Blackbirds play their season finale Saturday, November 6 against NEC foe St. Francis (NY). Game time is set for 1:00 pm.

Joe Clemente buried a shot into the far left corner in the
70th minute to give Lehigh a 1-0 victory over Long Island in
collegiate men’s soccer action at LIU Field.. With the
non-conference loss, the Blackbirds fall to 7-6-3 overall and
Lehigh improves to 10-5-2 on the year.
