Men's 4x100-Meter Relay Wins ECAC Outdoor Track and Field Title

5/14/06 -- Long Island University grabbed the top prize in the men’s 4x100-meter relay race at the 2006 ECAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Sunday at Weaver Stadium. The three-day event was held on the campus of Princeton University.

The quartet of Rodney Daniel (Brooklyn, N.Y.), Mike Hillian (Voorhees, N.J.), Jeremy Bascom (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and Bryan Steele (Gaithersburg, Md.) reached the tape first in the relay event, crossing in a time of 41.08.

Bascom also placed individually. The senior took sixth in the 100-meter dash in a time of 10.78. He had finished fifth in the preliminary round on Saturday in a time of 10.76.
