Calixto Places Fourth at Monmouth XC Kick-Off

9/3/06 -- Long Island University’s Gerardo Calixto took home fourth place in the Monmouth University XC Kick-Off. Calixto crossed the finish line at 19:53.3, 50 seconds behind the winner. LIU’s top female finisher was Aniecia Williams, who finished 17th at 16:34.9.

As a team, the Blackbirds finished third in the women’s competition. The Long Island men placed fifth. Steven McElligott placed 10th with a 20:15.5; Heather Wolfe was the next-highest LIU female finisher, taking 18th at 16:38.9.

The Blackbirds will be back in action on Saturday, Sept. 9 at the Fordham Invitational.
