Michael Hillian (Voorhees, N.J.) crossed the line in
a scorching 46.37 to qualify for the NCAA
400-meter dash semifinals on Wednesday, June 7 in Sacramento.
Hillian, a two-time All-Northeast
Conference performer, captured the 200 and 400-meter dash titles
at the conference finals this past May. He posted a season-best
time of 46.33 in the 400-meter sprint and was a member of the
4x100 and 4x400-meter relay teams at the NCAA East Regional
Championships.
The Garden State Native helped
the 4x100 and 4x200-meter relays teams to first place showings
at the NEC Championships and was named Outstanding Track Performer
for the second consecutive year.
All-American Bryan Steele (Gaithersburg,
Md.) is scheduled to compete for a spot in the 400-meter hurdle
semifinals on Thursday, June 8 at 4:30 pm PDT. The finals for
both the 400-meter dash and 400-meter hurdles will take place
on Saturday, June 10 at the A.G. Spanos Sports Complex on the
campus of Sacramento State.
