Bryan Steele Named NEC Track Athlete of the Week

3/28/06– Senior Bryan Steele (Gaithersburg, Md.) was named Northeast Conference Male Track Athlete of the Week on Tuesday. It is the sixth time in three seasons, the talented performer has been selected to receive this weekly honor.

Steele had an outstanding performance at the Aggie Relays in Greensboro, N.C last weekend, taking the crown in two events. He took the top spot in the 400-meter dash in a time of 47.65, qualifying him for IC4A competition.

The All-American also took top honors in the 400 hurdles, crossing in 52.28 seconds and qualifying him for IC4A’s as well as NCAA regional action.

The Blackbirds compete at the UNLV Invitational this weekend in Las Vegas, Nev.
