Bryan Steele (Gaithersburg, Md.) was named Northeast Conference
Male Track Athlete of the Week on Tuesday for the second consecutive
week.
Steele captured the 400-meter hurdles title at the prestigious
Penn Relays this past weekend in a career-best, NCAA qualifying
time of 49.98. His performance secured a second place nation
ranking in the event.
The Gaithersburg native and All-American also helped the 4x200-meter
relay team set a new school record, stopping the clock at 1:24.47.
The team won the IC4A section of the 800-meter relay and holds
the fifth spot in the nation.
Steele and the Blackbirds head to Emmittsburg, Md. for the
NEC Outdoor Championships on Saturday, May 6.
