Cross Country competes at Metropolitan Championship

10/1/04 -- The Long Island University men`s cross country team placed tenth at the New York Metropolitan Championship at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx. Overall, 15 teams competed and 181 runners participated.

Senior Floyd Mayne (Uniondale, N.Y.) crossed in 17th place in a time of 26:16, a season-best. It was the highest finish of any Northeast Conference competitor.
