Aisha Thomas Named NEC Rookie of the Week

1/11/05 -- Freshman Aisha Thomas was tabbed the Northeast Conference Track & Field Rookie of the Week on Tuesday as announced by the league office. It marks the second consecutive week the Blackbird newcomer has earned the accolade

The Jefferson City, Mo. native earned the honor after winning the 200-meter dash at the Fordham Invitational last Friday in a time of 25.32, the best in the league this season. At Fordham, Thomas also closed fourth in the 60-meter dash with a personal best and third-best in the NEC time of 7.92.
