Eva Terry and Floyd Mayne Win at Wagner Quad-Meet

4/13/05 -- Junior Eva Terry (Germantown, Md.) and senior Floyd Mayne (Uniondale, N.Y.) each posted victories for Long Island at the Wagner Quad-Meet in Staten Island, N.Y.

Terry was victorious in the long jump with a leap of 5.02 meters and Mayne continued his standout campaign by winning the 800-meter run in 2:01.3

Mayne also closed second in the 400-meter dash in 51.1 seconds and finished fourth in the 100-meter dash, racing 12.0 seconds.

Shaneqwa Warren (Roselle, N.J.) was third in the 100-meter dash in 13.7 seconds and fellow sophomore De Wayne Jolly (Gaithersburg, Md.) closed fourth in the long jump, covering 6.14 meters.

The Blackbirds are in action Friday and Saturday at the Metropolitan Championships in New York.
