The Blackbirds improve to 15-11 on the season, and 4-0 in the Northeast Conference. LIU has yet to drop a game in conference play (12-0). The Blackbirds got another outstanding performance from senior Jade Gold (Jupiter, Fla.), who led the team with 13 kills and six blocks. Using a stifling defense, the Blackbirds smothered the Knights’ attack throughout the match, outhitting FDU .302 to -.035. It was the second consecutive contest in which the Blackbirds have held their opponent to a negative hitting percentage. Karolina Kowalski led the Knights with 13 digs and added nine assists. LIU returns home to face Central Connecticut State in a Northeast
Conference showdown on Friday, Oct. 28 at 4:00 p.m.

(11 kills, 15 digs) and senior Ivana Vasiljecvic had 30 assists
as the Long Island University women’s volleyball team
tallied its fifth straight victory, 3-0 (30-17, 30-20, 30-25),
over Fairleigh Dickinson on Sunday afternoon.
