09/03/05-- Senior Lizelle Jackson (Palmdale, Calif.) recorded her second consecutive double-double of the USF Powerade/Asics Classic as the Long Island volleyball team rallied from two sets down to upend William & Mary, 3-2 (36-38, 17-30, 30-26, 29-23, 15-13), and notch their first victory of the season.

Jackson led the Blackbird attack with 28 kills and also paced the team with 22 digs. The senior outside hitter totaled 58 kills and 63 digs over 15 games in the tournament, and was named to the All-Tournament team.

Senior Ivana Vasiljevic (Brcko, Bosnia & Herzegovina) dished out a season-high 53 assists to lead LIU. Middle blocker Trevon Dyson (Rock Hill, S.C.) also had a strong game, as she pounded nine kills with only one error in 15 attempts for a .533 hitting percentage.

Long Island competes in the Georgia Tech Invitational next weekend in Atlanta, Ga., beginning Friday against George Washington.
