-- Junior Lizelle Jackson (Palmdale, Calif.) led
a game-one surge and sophomore Dana Demayo (Ra’anana,
Israel) pounded 15 kills for Long Island, which made it three
straight
victories with a 3-0 (30-14, 30-25, 30-17) Northeast Conference
win over Fairleigh Dickinson at Schwartz Center.
Jackson went on a tear in game one with six kills over nine
errorless attacks to help the Blackbirds (24-6, 2-1 NEC) notch
a .567 hitting percentage, thanks to 19 kills and just two errors.
The Knights (8-15, 2-3) were held to a .125 percentage in that
game.
Demayo continued her solid play with 15 kills and just four
errors with a .393 percentage for LIU, which finished with a
60-34 kills edge and a .417 percentage. Senior Cristina Pintilie
(Cluj Napoca, Romania) ended with 13 kills for a .391 percentage,
Jackson had 11 kills, 11 digs and a .417 percentage, and junior
Melanie Fleig (Villingen, Germany) contributed 11 kills.
Senior Ivana Vasiljevic (Brcko, Bosnia & Herzegovina) closed

Levy dished 12 assists.
LIU ties the longest home winning streak in school history with

Center this season, moving within two victories of its most in
one season set in 2000.
The Blackbirds return home Monday to host local-rival St. Francis
(NY), beginning at 7:00 pm.
