As a Junior in 2004: Made an impact from day
one with her explosive hitting and overall will to win… Closed 10th in the NEC
(third for LIU) with 3.19 kills per game, third with 0.46 aces
per game (39) and sixth with 3.45 digs per game… Tied for
second on the squad with 17 double-doubles, including streaks
of seven (9/4-18) and six (11/7-21) in a row… Made the
all-tournament team at the Connecticut Invitational (9/10-11)
with 47 kills and 46 digs over three matches… That included
19 kills and 23 digs (both season bests) against Stony Brook
(9/10)… Had at least 13 kills in 12 matches, including
17 in back-to-back matches vs. North Carolina State and Chattanooga
(9/17-18)… Posted at least 17 digs in six matches, including
19 at Central Connecticut State (11/13)… Totaled 26 kills,
25 digs and three block solos at the NEC Tournament… Recorded
nine kills and 12 digs against fourth-ranked and eventual national
runner-up Minnesota in the NCAA Tournament (12/2)… Had
a block solo against Chattanooga (9/18) and St. Francis (NY)
(11/1).
At Cal State Los Angeles in 2003: Tabbed first team All-California
Collegiate Athletic Association after compiling 3.92 kills and
3.24 digs per game… Also contributed 37 aces, 13 1/2 blocks
and a .249 hitting percentage… Led the Golden Eagles to
a 19-11 record.
At Cal State Los Angeles in 2002: Named California Collegiate
Athletic Association Freshman of the Year and second team All-CCAA
with 3.19 kills and 3.33 digs per game… Finished with 49
aces, 31 assists, two block solos and 31 block assists… The
only Golden Eagle to play all 113 games, helping it to the NCAA
Tournament with a 20-11 mark.
High School/Personal: Selected first team All-Golden League as
a senior for Highland High School… Also honored as the
team MVP… Played for the Santa Monica Beach Club… Also
