Women's Soccer Looks To Extend Home Unbeaten Streak Against Oregon State on Friday

9/21/06 -- A 20-game home unbeaten streak is on the line this Friday as the Long Island University women's soccer team hosts Oregon State at 6:00 p.m.

The Blackbirds have an unblemished 19-0-1 record over the past year and a half at home. They have not lost in Brooklyn since Oct. 19, 2003.

Freshman Aly Hanson (New Milford, N.J.) looks to continue the fast-paced start to her career. The speedster has a Northeast Conference-leading five goals in the team's first eight games.

The Beavers (5-2-1) are coming off a 1-0 victory at St. John's on Tuesday. Emily Henshaw became the sixth different freshman to score a goal this season, tallying the game-winner in the 78th minute.
