Long Island University’s Brooklyn Campus Holds Spring Open House with LIU Day, Sunday, April 26, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. - Includes financial aid workshops on making college affordable; sessions on graduate education -
Brooklyn, N.Y. – Find out how to prepare for a recession-proof career with skills that last a lifetime. Come to LIU Day, an open house for high school students and prospective undergraduates and graduates, at Long Island University’s Brooklyn Campus in downtown Brooklyn.
LIU Day will be held on Sunday, April 26, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Free and open to potential freshmen, transfer and graduate students, as well as their families and friends, the open house begins in the Campus’s main building at Flatbush and DeKalb avenues. At LIU Day:
- Talk to financial aid counselors about the extensive support available to make college affordable. Advisers will answer questions about a wide array of grants, scholarships and loans and payment flexibility.
- Apply on LIU Day and application fees will be waived.
- Explore master’s degree or other advanced programs. Special sessions on graduate education will describe career opportunities, financing and the application process.
- Meet faculty and students and discover more about the Brooklyn Campus experience.
- Tour the beautiful 11-acre Campus and facilities, including the $45 million Wellness, Recreation and Athletic Center, with a state-of-the-art fitness center and an eight-lane, 25-yard swimming pool, and the Kumble Theater for the Performing Arts.
- Learn about programs in the rapidly growing fields of the health professions and education, as well as in business and the liberal arts and sciences.
- Find out more about the personalized support offered to every student.
